What does the word "home" mean to you? For many of us, the word denotes more than a physical space.

The image of your house or room may come to mind, but the actual feeling of "home" is a much more nebulous of a concept.

Our friends Christopher Martin and Larkin Poynton, along with their team of artists, will be bringing this feeling to life through "Project Home."

Project Home's mission resonates with STEEZY in more ways than one.

Project Home is pushing the envelope of collaboration by incorporating artists of all different industries – film, music, dance, photography, and more.

It's a feature-length film that will be completely self-produced. All its creation coming straight from its creators.

The caliber of the project itself is impressive enough, but the content that's in the works is what really hits home.

"To me, "home" is about the simple things. It's food, music, conversation with people you love. There've been times I was traveling, far from my actual house, yet I felt perfectly at home. Cooking with good company. It can be that simple."

– Chris

"Many of us are in search for "home." To find what that means to us. For me, working on this project is a part of that process – to tap into my point of view, looking for that place, that feeling."

– Larkin

Just as Chris and Larkin have their own interpretations of "home," so do you.

And that's what you'll find through Project Home.

The artistic "thesis" of the project is about "home, family, and the resilience of the human spirit" – things that are universally experienced, but in infinitely different ways.

"We want to create a story that everyone can connect to. We want the viewer to derive their own story from it."

Project Home isn't just about dance, or dancers.

It's about movement that communicates.

It's about movement that elevates.

It's a movement in itself – giving artists an opportunity to express, create, and preserve their right to do so.

We're ecstatic to announce that the two dancers/choreographers just met their minimum fundraising goal of $15,000 today.

But they are still taking donations, as each contribution will help propel the project to even greater heights.

When released, Project Home will cost $2 to watch – but, you can pledge $2 today and be able to download it for free.

The free download is also included in all pledges over $2, as well as a ton of other amazing rewards. You can find details on their Kickstarter page here.

If you’ve been looking for a way to give back to the choreographers and dancers who have already given so much, and are trying to give even more – this is your chance.

We encourage you to contribute, and help spread the word to other dancers!

Who else is excited to come home?

Congratulations again to Chris and Larkin on reaching their goal! We're happy to give all our love and support for this movement.
